Terra Formars (2016) [review]

Terraformars is a live-action manga and anime.I dont watch all animes or manga I dont have much expetation since it can be hit or miss or failed *cough* SnK*cough*. Takashi Miike's as director recently his films isn't well recieved  but i enjoy Mogura no Uta (cant wait for the sequel) . Also i see my timeline reaction didnt good either. And recently Terra Formars its on my country movie theater but kissasian has it too. So i decide to watch in kissasian (because i didnt have an expetation about that forgive me).

My overall review about the film it didn't bad as people complained about but it didn't great either.The cast is star sudded but it cant deliver the character,total waste.This film is too fast paced because it recaps almost all of the manga.I think the best cast in this film is Shun Oguri eventhough i dont like his sense of fashion.

The only great thing about this film because the CG (it look so realistic) .The OST by Sandaime is fine eventhough its forgetable. The BGM didnt help.

In the year 2599 how this world come to looks like 1970

Due to depleting natural resources and overpopulation, Humans look to Mars as their next habitat. Terraforming is the project to change Mars' environment to accommodate humans. For this project, cockroaches are sent to Mars and mutated to walk and evolution.In the year 2599, 15 poor Japanese are sent to Mars to take out the cockroaches. yes cockroaches

I dont think the film is scary enough for thriller lover. Because this film replace the red blooded with some sticky white as a blood (because almost all the cast is human mutant which has insect superpower). I dont recommend you to watch this film while you're eating because it gross and make you want to puke.

 

At least the CG isnt crap as people told

I really like the CG effect for the mars it looks so realistic and i think the film budget goes to the CG.This films has some explanation about insect its great to have insect class. For the biology student or insect maniac this film is good for you.

Overall the CG help this film to dont flop to much.I think it will be a sequel. Once again, i dont have an expect too much about Terra Formars. I dont recommend this to insect phobia.
